I just saw Hornblower and Fisher on TV. They said intc to be at $90 in six month. the trouble is only short term. compaq and dell seem to declare price-war, wouldn't that be the best for intel? that would increase pc-sales and therefore sales of CPUs. compaq is trying to reduce inventories, therefore they don't need so much CPUs in the Q.1. that's what Barret told us. opinions? Marc Analysts said Compaq has signalled a willingness to sacrifice profits in the short run to try to take business from competitors, especially Dell Computer Corp.
