To add to Don's response, each MGI share will be exchanged for .162 of a share of Discreet Logic. Based on today's closing price, that's $4.06/sh US.

Discreet Logic Inc (Montreal) and Intel Corp (Santa Clara, CA) will jointly develop visual-effects software to operate on multiprocessor workstations based on Intel's forthcoming Merced microprocessors. The products would be used to generate special effects for movies, videos and broadcast television.Intel has also purchased 645,000 newly issued common shares or about 2.2% of Discreet Logic for about $13.5 mil.
