I'm on the west coast but since I was up at 4 this morning it mights as well be 11:30 for me.

How does a well respected big shot VP get suckered into becoming a board member for a company that might be run by crooks? Not saying it couldn't happen, but why? Money? WOmen? Drugs? A product that might be good or great?
Besides, would a VP at MSFT need permission to become a board member of another company or can he just do as he pleases?
