Diversinet Corp. rose from the ashes of "The Instant Publisher," a company with a questionable past (think "pump and dump" Canadian stock). DVNT is benefiting from the explosion of wireless devices and the need for public-key infrastructure (PKI) technology, which allow secure authentication for e-commerce transactions. DVNT has announced numerous strategic partnerships, implying it is a force to be reckoned with in wireless e-security. No longer the big bear skeptic I once was, I have revised this thread description to reflect what appears to be a very positive future. Lastly, given my history with the "old" stock, I cannot bring myself to buy DVNT now (Mar '00) - but if I decide to buy it, I'll let you know because it will truly be a top! Anyone wanting to invest in this company should check out postings under "The Instant Publisher" (search on INSTANT, as in instant disappearing money). This company allegedly came up with a great product, an instant publishing machine, that sounded too good to be true. Well, I sure lost money! So the company picked a new name (ending in "net" no less) when it acquired internet technology. God I hope this stock goes to $10 from it's current 50 cents so I can short hell out of it. Anyone planning on buying this stock, please e-mail me... I have some land I'd like to sell you. | ||||||||||||||
