He probably wasn't smart enough to figure out that even though CPQ's revenues will be flat, they are shipping many more units. IBM cut prices on its servers and CPQ had to match. The fall in prices offset the increase in unit sales. More unit sales means more DD sales and in the server area more DLT sales......which actually make QNTM some profits. A price war in the server business is a positive for QNTM. Keep those servers moving out the door and we'll see DLT systems moving as well.

Kevin, you are right, I've seen it before on other threads, too. This is the same type of indicator as when the anal-ysts start making their "scary" downgrades from "super-buy-load them up" to an attractive (whatever the hell that indicates)... seems to me that nows the time to maybe start slowly doing some buying at these levels and wait (patience, just like the hoars on Wall Street have)... Many people have short memories and look only at the month ahead. Only a "dickhead" would panic-those are the jerks who make the Wall Street whores rich. Don't forget, this stock can go down and up in an eye blink (a week to two weeks in stocks is an eye blink, sorry for those who have not patience.) We could hit 15 and be back to 28 in a few months, so what!!! Look at it from a year perspective, don't worry. (study past charts on many other tech stocks, oh, does anyone remember July/August of 1996, or do you consider that ancient history - be honest, did many of you already forget? That was doomesday according to everyone, Remember?

Seriously, everytime someone blows a lid after getting crushed in one of my holdings.......stock rebounds. Who knows this time but I like the implications. Maybe we are near the bottom. This company has financial strength and brains. Looking forward to extending my position upon solid earnings. Egg
