Besides, it's DVNT who is licensing CIC's encryption algorithms. I'm by no means an expert on encryption, but it looks like CIC's elliptic curve cryptology (ECC) is faster than the standard RSA encryption, so it should help speed up DVNT's products.. however, RSA has been around much longer and has been through a heck of a lot more testing, so who knows how beneficial this'll be. CIC has been a bit of a high flyer over the past few months, so this should giv DVNT more exposure at the least. James. (not long or short)
