Thanks for the info Gary! Based on what your answer was I have 2 more questions. PLEASE CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG!

Questions:

Is there any truth to ASND reporting 1 week early?

--------------If the answer is yes--------------------------

If hitting the estimates depends on the back-end could it be that ASND is reporting early knowing that they will miss this quarters estimates?
The result being they can roll ahead unsigned deals and front end load the earnings for the next quarter.

Any Logic to that notion?

TORONTO, March 10 (Reuters) - Northern Telecom Ltd
Chief Executive John Roth said he was pleased with how the
first quarter was shaping up at the world's sixth largest
telecommunications equipment maker.
"I'm very happy," Roth told Reuters in an interview at
Nortel's headquarters in Brampton, Ontario, outside of Toronto.
He refused to elaborate.
Analyst Jim Kedersha at U.S.-based brokerage Cowen & Co
said that he forecast Nortel's net profit for common
shareholders would increase 20 percent in the first quarter to
$130 million, or $0.25 a share. Last year Nortel earned $108
million or $0.21 a share on a post-split basis.
Kedersha added revenues should rise to $3.7 billion in the
quarter from year ago $3.4 billion.
In Nortel's fourth quarter profit jumped by 21 percent to
$386 million or $0.74 a share from the year-earlier $317
million or $0.61 a share. The fourth quarter is usually
Nortel's most profitable, Kedersha said.
Roth ruled out another stock split for the time being.
Nortel shares rose C$1.70 to C$77.75 on the Toronto Stock
Exchange and added US$1.13 to US$55.38 on Wall Street.
