I agree David, I've been following that one. Actually, I have read a number of very good ones that sourced the South China Morning Paper. It has started me reading through SCMP as well. I think it is a good source of info over there for people that are interested in getting a little deeper understanding of the Asia situation.

And now for something completely heart-wrenching: Local lawmakers fear
revenue loss from Net tax bill - 12:05 a.m. PST Tuesday, March 10, 1998

WASHINGTON (AP) -- A proposed law to exempt Internet sales from local
taxes would hurt local businesses and governments, city leaders say.

The proposed ''Internet Tax Freedom Act'' may sound as American as mom
and apple pie, but for local officials who gathered this week at the
annual conference of the National League of Cities, the proposal is
the subject of scorn. There's been no shortage of rhetoric about the
possible impacts of the proposed legislation.
