Annual Meeting Insights: As I looked around the room this year, I saw some new faces in management, 1. Charles Giancarlo from Cisco, as a new board of director. 2.Robert Frostholm vp of sales & Market- ing. 3.Bill Weir director of marketing & sales, and a new face at the head of operations. These new people all were impressive as they spoke along with Dr. Salsbury(president) A lot of hard questions were thrown at Dr. Salsbury, and he handled them well. RE:Gigabit 8100, Seeq was first to market with this product. The new second generation 8101 is now out of the FAB and will be sampled shortly. Seeq has the broad- est line of ethernet poduct, & has one of the best mixed signal design people in the valley. There foundry suppliers are all strong, such as Ricoh, Ami, Samsung, Tsmc. They have a new customer in Xircom which has placed an order in the seven figures. Xircom does not want seeq to make any announcements until they get there new product out. Then seeq will make an announcement with xircom. Within the next month hopefully. Adaptec= New design win (no significant orders yet.) Seeq said that they can do 40 Million for the year.This is an Optimistic projection without the backlog.(Of course Miranda rights were mentioned after the projection)In other words, it is not in concrete. NEC HAD SELECTED THE 80220 as the best product on the market. SEEQ said that they had 55% of the Gigabit Market: Seeq stated that they are working on another large order that is in the wings. Seeq said that the Fast Ethernet Market is is Projected at 450-800-Million. Seeq said, this year they will have a Mac Phy product out this summer. I have brought out a few of the positive rem- arks of the meeting today. There are many more. Also, I have not touched on the negatives, Of course they are the orders, Where are they? as they stated these design wins take a long time. There customers must develop there pro- ducts & test, test,..This takes time. Seeq's management is Active in sales calls, doing Double Duty) DRAW your own conclusions to this short summary of the annual meeting today.
