Volume does not appear to be decisive. I cannot find any news. All the technicals I cursorily look at were pointing south yesterday. This may just be technical bounce from oversold conditions. We need some positive news here.

FWIW my impressions on the action today. The big buyer was GSCO and the big seller was MASH or Schwab. I would hazard an educated guess being the tape reader that I am, that GSCO knows something and that Schwab AKA, the little guy, got faked out today and let the MM's buy their shares on the cheap. If you wanted shares after the close you had to trade up to 17 1/2 to 17 3/8 for a measely 2000 shares. That tells me that the 2+ million shares that traded today were being held real tight. Anyway this is only anecdotal observations that I am sure make no sense to the quantitative folks who disparage any informwation that may cause their beloved analysis into question. After all this is only a relief rally. :o}
