Eddie, cpq won't be going anywhere soon, except maybe down when (if) dec misses its quarter. I've been off the thread almost entirely since the pre-announcement. Can't afford to sell so am trying to ignore it. I hate to say it but if I play this stock at all, I'll be shorting it. I don't think any announcement about the Dec plans will be made until Dec has reported. If the plans are really impressive (massive job cuts, etc.) then cpq may head up a little. I'm just very discouraged about any near or intermediate gains on this stock. Hope you or someone else on the thread sees some upside I've missed. dp

Hey Eddie; Go jump that Daniel Martini, again..he thinks he
is some sort of wiseass. I'm all cracked up and can't think of
how to insult him enough to be fitting of his statue.
Any body can tell he is a pervert so there is not much point in my
calling him one, any way that would be to much like a compliment.
I'm sure you can give him a better mud bath than I can,
and we don't want him to feel neglected.
Jim

Eddie, I'm afraid Dulane is right about CPQ. There is nothing to indicate that this stock is going to go up. Dulane is right about the possibility of it going further south, especially if there is a market correction. Having said that, the company may come up with sensational news all of a sudden, (which the big money fat cats would already be privy to) and make us eat our words.

All in all not a bad day. There still must be a lot of short interest, but buyers aren't scarce either. Positive news is starting to come out, such as DEC having the 1,000 dollar Digital Server 5000 immediately available. Eventually the tide will turn.
