I think what Ben is suggesting is that MM's can sell or buy on the
margin like in "selling begetting selling" and the reverse.
In the long term you're right, that supply and demand determine
price, but in the short term price can be manipulated. Take a
look at YHOO and AMZN to see what I mean. Stocks that make no
profits don't move ten points up a day based on fundamentals. They
move on short squeezes and in the future will move down on
panic selling.

BTW, the chart on JBIL doesn't look so hot. I would say that
this stock will bottom at 30 fairly soon. It would appear that
the troubles at INTC and CPQ indicate problems for JBIL and the
other ECM's.
