1. God is all powerful.
Yes, I believe that.

2. God knows all -- from before time to beyond the end of time.
Yes, I believe that too.

3. God, who is all good, knows he will create Satan one day, who happens to be all evil.
Will address this in the next response.

4. Perfect good therefore creates perfect evil -- it can't be a mistake because God doesn't make mistakes, right? Besides, God knew before the beginning of time that he would create the ultimate evil.
OK, I believe that God loved(s) us, his creation, and in that love he wanted us to reciprocate that love freely. If you created something, let's say a child, would you want them to love you freely or because they had no choice? If we, because we love our kids, let them experience things that could hurt them when we could see that their actions are going to be harmful to them, would we expect less from God? God created Lucifer, as one of the most powerful angels, but not Satan. Lucifer used his free will to choose to put himself in Gods place and that is when sin came into existence and not before.

QUESTION: Are God and Satan the same? Two sides as it were to the same coin?
Could salt-water or fresh water come from the same spring?
Could light and dark some from the same place at the same time?
I don't think, like you said, perfect good and perfect evil could come from the same source.

5. All humans who have gone to hell were created by God only to go to hell and suffer horribly for eternity. It is unfortunate that before time began God already knew all that would be in hell and that there WOULD be a hell. Therefore, God is the ultimate sadist as he creates beings just to suffer eternally. God has created a mad game.
All humanity have a choice and they could choose right or wrong. It is up to them. If you had a choice to create something, but knew beforehand that some would rebel and would need to be punished, but some would not, would you not create anything? So, I guess he should have made his creation like a robot with no will or choice. Then everyone would have worshipped him happy.

6. Most incidents in the old and new testaments that are described as miracles are scientific phenomena that the ancients took as signs from God or Heaven.
OK, I will take an easy one. When the Israelites crossed the Jordan. The Jordan dried up allowing them to cross and then started when the finished crossing. I know that it has happened several times since then. A rock slide blocked the river for a couple of hours and then started again when the blockage was broken. OK, that is a physical fact that could explain it. In your mind you then discount that someone could have planned the timing of the slide. OK, that is you choice.

Much more, but I choose to spend my time on rational pursuits and not the 20th Century regurgitation of the writings of mystics and babblings of primitive savages.
That is your choice. Good luck in your rational and educational pursuits. But, I say you could learn a lot by studying the ancient writings, and I am not limiting it to the Bible.

Comment: It is funny that the group called the "new age" is virtually identical to the ancient religions of Babylon. Not new age to me. As a wise man once said, "There is nothing new under the sun."

Father Terrence, while I was searching the web earlier this evening I found this. I thought you might find it interesting, since you are espousing similar sentiments:
