Linda,<<<March 15th is the beginning of quiet period.>>>

This means 4 days available to announce any "material" surprises. If no announcement, then is $8 "fair value" for analysts' earnings estimates?

Re: IR Thatcher call

Linda, thanks for posting your conversation with Tyler. I live in the Silicon Valley, so I'll stop by Fry's and see if the Jaz2 has arrived here in the South Bay as well.

I certainly am concerned about the Nomai court case comment: "Iomega has a heavy burden of proof." This doesn't sound too promising to me. What was your impression of Tyler's comment? TIA

Regards - Dale

Hi Linda! Re. Nomai and heavy burden of proof: do you know what's at stake in this round? Is it the compatibility/potential-damage-to- drive/danger-to-data fight or the patent issue.

From what I've read on the thread (and possibly understand), a compatibility ruling favorable to Nomai would not impact IOM much (except in Herbie's column). The amount of product Nomai can put on the shelves would be an increasingly tiny peice of the pie and they are limited in increasing production. Also, at the prices reported here, who in their right mind would risk their "stuff" to maybe save a few cents. The patent issue is a whole 'nother ball game.
