Thank you for your kind support and words of encouragement. I have printed this response and am going to give it to my mother who needs the encouragement the most. Her walk has been a difficult one, but I think she believes that her son (my brother)has been set free. He obviously had an impatient soul. You talked of the one UNFORGIVABLE sin; my understanding is that if an individual hears the word of God, understands it's meaning, but still intentionally lives a life of rebellion against God and in direct disobedience to Him, that this is the one and only unforgivable sin. Please correct me if I am confused. In 1989, when I was born again to a life in Christ, I gave my brother a bible as a gift hoping that he would read it and discuss the teachings that it can bring. JD was a great debater and one who could always see the other side of a coin. We had a couple chances after that to talk, but none really focused on the teachings of Christ. I am not one to push my beliefs on others, but others sure have a way of questioning my beliefs, and he did. My guess is that he did not die in Christ and hopefully he will be granted the opportunity to go through the time of teaching and great discipline to gain Salvation. In my recent studies, I chose to go to the end of the great Book, instead of starting at the beginning, and so now I have a new focus. Rather than be end time oriented, I have decided that a better approach is to go back through John, Matthew, Mark, and Luke to study the Harmony of the Gospels and ponder how four different men, from different backgrounds, all wrote about the same situations and how Jesus influenced their lives, so that my walk will have His meaning and not my own. I understand that Salvation is a gift for those who accept it and have faith in Jesus. My only regret is that I was not able to help my little brother find Salvation. Maybe, I too, will get another opportunity to help him. Again, thank you for your words of wisdom and kindness. They helped more than you know. Tony
