To All : Have any of you heard of Dan Wiener's newsletter? I think it's called the "Independent Advisor for Vanguard Fund Investors", or something like that. I recently got a brochure from his company, where Dan Wiener's "picks" and "pans" for 1998 were mentioned. Among the "pans" were the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index fund. Interesting because, while Dan Wiener is bullish too, like Brinker is, he recommends NOT investing in the Total Stock Market Index! Instead his picks are like Vanguard U.S. Growth, Vanguard Growth & Income, Vanguard Windsor etc. Any thoughts on this? Is 1998 going to be another year in which the large-caps soar while the small-caps flounder? Dipy.
