Yes, The rumor is wide spread within the halls of IBM !! I too heard the same thing and last night, WDC issued a strong buy Signal on the TAs. I suspect there was a money heavy flow detection on one of the indicators. With the rumor this wide spread, expect CNBC to report it soon.

Calculated, so your freind, a top exec at wdc, is saying that an IBM buyout rumor is rampant........Would seem like a good fit. Anyone see the news early in the week that IBM saw shortages in supply in certain price points. At a fraction of revenues, WDC could be a decent deal. A thin, well managed company.....if I had the cash and a need, i'd buy more than what I already have.
The action at the end of the day was excellent....big pieces going after the offer, running stock from 16 15/16 to 17 1/2........in about 15 minutes of so on heavy action....
We shall see....
The market is surely a fun game! I wouldnt be short this thing right now, too much action today, even in light of QNTM's and SEG's pull back at the end.

regards,
Steve
