Nemer--off topic --your commentary on the housing market in your neighborhood certainly got my attention!! Actually, got me out of hibernation for a bit:) As you probably know, I live in Southern California and real estate here has always been nuts -- and after a down cycle for several years, prices have started going through the roof. Kind of reminds me of stocks -- a year ago, no one wanted to buy any real estate and today everyone feels that there is no tomorrow and they better buy immediately--so property is selling at higher than the list price with mulitple bids. An "average" lot, very close to my property, from where I live just sold for $600K -- and an attorney who bought it is building a mansion -- a nice guy who does not seem to do any work --he probably views me the same way:) Now cost of construction at $35-50 a square foot seems a giveaway compared to here where it is $150-175 per square foot(without the lot) -- and that is if one does not go over-board!! So I figure that if I sold my place and moved into your neighborhood I can afford to trade and lose money and still live well:) On the other hand I am not sure how my rather liberal political views will be viewed there:) Besides, are there any good Thai restaurants -- I have to have a Thai food "fix" at least once a week:) Enjoyed reading your postings about how inexpensive to live it is out there -- rather appeals to the "cheap" aspect of my nature:) Take care
