From Briefing.com:

"Hewlett-Packard Co. (HWP) 60 15/16 -9/16: Lewis E. Platt, CEO of computing and printer company, says that the PC industry currently encountering too much supply in the inventory channel; inventory build-up is leading to pricing pressures in the middle to high-end of the PC market, but only sees a "modest impact" on company's PC margins....."

Of course, this is no big deal. DELL is bullet-proof. DELL computers are so technology advanced and DELL is a better brand than CPQ, HWP and IBM, so, even if they all drop the prices, people will still buy DELL.

Jim,

<I am hearing rummors that INTC is planning to cut Capital spending if they can get the Volumes they want from .25. That might not effect Dell, but the group reaction would hurt Dell's stock.>

Now Jim you know better than that! That's no risk for any company especially DELL since one can not measure it by a mathematical calculation!

Hank

Forgive me for I have sinned.

I have to admit my errors in thinking that CPQ would rise in sympathy with dell and have now converted my CPQ to DELL on this dip, and I don't regret it.

CPQ is in real trouble and I think it's specifically related to Dell. You've got to admit that the Dell brand has an amazing correlation to quality and service not to mention an increasing visibility among your "average joes". The other day I was talking to one of these average Joe's at work and told him I was using a Dell to which he replied "Yeah, Dell makes some amazing products".

Not to mention their ever-increasing visibility with television & magazine advertisement.

I don't have all of my original position back, but I've got 71% of it back.

BUT the Dell I converted to MRK, I'm not sorry about that.

GO DELL!
JH
