There is actually a larger story in this Taco Bell business, and while it would be irresponsible for me to promulgate unconfirmed rumors on the internet, I can tell you this;

Considerable evidence has come to light that Taco Bell does not use the higher grades of Chihuahua in their tacos. Rumors have surfaced of other grades, other breeds, other species, even other genera.

Let your imagination be your guide.
