Doug, Thanks for your informative post reiterating recent news and hearsay. Can't wait for the definitive agreement with Worldcom to be definitively announced. Hope you're right and that it's soon. I know you told me not to respond here anymore, but, as a lifetime member of Silicon Investor and a concerned and interested investor in Franklin Telecom, I'm responding to a higher power and exercising one of my rights -- such as they are -- by posting here all I want. I'm sure everyone is pleased that's not often. I share your enthusiasm for the future of Franklin, and it's potential share price. Otherwise, it certainly wouldn't be my largest small-cap investment. FTEL is absolutely, positively one of the ten small-caps I currently own that I have most faith in. Of course I have faith in all of them, otherwise I wouldn't be in them. Duh! I've done very well with a few issues in the last few years, but I've also had a few dogs. I had once been so certain that some companies were going to deliver on their potential that I laid down some of MY money on their venture, put it in their hands, but their enterprises didn't succeed in maintaining share price and I lost at least some of that money. I had been so sure I was going to make money, but instead was reminded again that there is no such thing as a sure thing, and it's not hot news that that includes FTEL. There is an infinite number of "if's" that stand in the way of Franklin succeeding, some less plausible than others, but all of them are there, nevertheless. I have in the past been saved from loosing more than I might have because I listened to some astute observer on a bbs say, "Hey . . .," and point out a different interpretation of a situation that proved to be accurate. I've also lost more than I might've on occasion when I didn't listen, and I sometimes made money when I didn't listen. But input of opinion and interpretation, pro and con, is what I look for when I read the bulletin boards. I like having that input to use along with my own analysis of news and filings and charts and things, and I like being able to make up my own mind as to what I decide and with whom I agree. I personally didn't share Judith's immediate concerns when I read her musings the other night - never for an instant did I think, "By Jove, she's right, I'll sell in the AM" - but I appreciated her careful and well-stated analysis. If there are skeptical questions to be asked (and there are because some of my money is riding on this), Judith asks the right ones. I'm sure it was without thinking that you responded to her post. Under no stretch of the imagination did Judith deserve to be told, essentially, to shut-up and go away, and you had absolutely no right to say it, co-location or not. This is a public forum, and your dd and number of posts doesn't give you the privilege to determine who can say what. You overstepped the boundaries of basic bbs civility with antagonistic derision that drove away an earnest and intelligent contributor, and it's my opinion you owe her an apology. As far as not contributing to this thread myself, there isn't alot of room here, but that makes me no less appreciative of the numerous informed and thoughtful posts made here by many, many people, often including yourself. Best, Richard
