Oh dear Jane!! Plastic utensils and chopped liver? I am not sure where to begin to respond to your post. It is getting late here, and I was heading off for bed, but are saying that, um, personal massage units are available for sale on MTV? I have seen them advertised in adult magazines, but never on television. I do believe they are used by men as well as women, homosexuals and heterosexuals alike, however. Did you happen to see the movie "Parenthood"? It was quite funny when the divorced mother rummaged around in the drawer at a dinner party and accidentally pulled hers out in front of her children and the rest of her guests. I believe that if there is a God, then He created our bodies for pleasure, and God would be happy to see us having so much fun.

I do not think there are a lot of homosexuals at SI, really. I am personally aware only of one or two, but of course when all you are looking at is words on a screen, it is impossible to tell unless someone reveals their sexual identity. They are certainly very welcome here at the Feelings thread!! I don't believe they are any different than heterosexuals, except that they are attracted to members of the same sex, just like you are attracted to men. I think it would be as hard for you to become attracted to women as it would be for a lesbian to desire a man, and you know how hard that would be!! So I don't believe it's a lifestyle choice, but more like something that happens prenatally or in early childhood, that the individual cannot change. I think that most people here who are suggesting equal rights for homosexuals simply believe that it is fair that everyone is treated the same under the law.

I was touched that you have had close relationships with homosexuals in your personal life. Was it Jesus who said that everyone is the same under their skin?

Have a nice night, Jane! Time for me to go to sleep now.

Christine

Jane, interesting post, and I can totally understand where you are coming from. To those who can not understand the view many people have about homosexuality, try this comparison...

If a Mother raises her son and the the son turns 21. They are both now legal adults, and whatever they do with their private life is their business right? Well how would you view them having sex with one another? Remember they are both adults, with a free mind and body. Same thing if it's a Father daughter relationship or brother sister. If they are adults, should we view there sexual mora's distastefully? Now the tougher question, why do we feel this way?

This probably comes as close as I can get to explaining how many people view homosexual relationships. And believe me, it's not just Christians who feel this way, that's simply stereotyping.
