I think you are putting too much faith in a new language...

Is Windows a language Jean? Is UNIX a language? Clearly not but what about the interface to these operating systems? Only one language is capable of interfacing to either of these operating systems: a little language called C. All other languages and/or have to access the OS through a C interface.

The Java programing language is only a part of Java technology and in fact there are Java applications that were not written in Java at all! How'd they do that Jean? Interesting that you use Microsoft's line that Java is just a language and Microsoft's count of Java developers of 400,000; in both cases you're wrong.

Jean, Java is a language, a virtual machine, a software component model and much, much more. It's more of an operating system than Windows on DOS ever was and that's why it has Microsoft worried. Claiming that Java is just a language is precisely the utter nonsense Microsoft would like you to believe. Java will break the Wintel monopoly, it's just a matter of time.
