Charles,

IMO if there are still shorts trading on this news, they will cover today or tomorrow. This news is not as devastating to the company as a lot of people believe and I sure wouldn't want to be short THQI come earnings day. It is not likely to trade significantly lower than pre-last Q earnings for very long.

ERTS must have wanted that license bad since they haven't even developed any title like WCW yet, hence a lot of development $$$. This all doesn't really give THQ much incentive to really promote the title.

charles,

I can't believe either but this is Wall Street. Don't you see NINE up 200% in 3 days for something like a tiny IBM design win which based on SIII cheap chip on a small business server? Well, actually investors are speculating that NINE is the take-over target by IBM. But don't you think $4.5/shr is way too high for NINE, even the buyer is I. B. M.? If there is no more bad news which we aren't aware of, sooner or later THQI will be back to the $35 to $40 (may take 3 to 6 months though).

BTW: Today we see THQI lost as much as 39% (the magic number) at $20.x. Is it enough? Satisfy?
