David: About 3 months ago... Kiewit employees and retirees owned around 97% of the stock.. Today they own at least that much less the total trading volume..less any stock that they sold outside the public market..

If the average Kiewit person owns 100,000 shares, he or she is worth $6million. If you want to pay off the debt you used to acquire the stock.. or if you want to buy a new home.. or if you want to diversify, you sell 25% of your holdings and you might give up $125,000 in upside without thinking..

Another question I ask, however, is were the 15million shares that US Bank acquired purchase from existing shareholders, or were some bought directly from the company.. In early February we were thinking there were 130million shares outstanding.. US Bank's filing reported 145million shares outstanding.. is that 15million share difference just a coincidence?
