John, I hope no Solid State Physicists are reading the above explanation, they would probably, crucify me like the Romans did some 2000 years ago to another nice Jewish boy. What I am trying to say is that I took some major short cuts in trying to explain the effect of isotopic purity. On the Isonics thread, where I went to try and learn what is the big story, I am now an "unwelcome poster" (which saves me ample time) because I was not crowing with enthusiasm the visions of half a billion dollar market for isotopically pure epi (of course, they still think that "eventually the whole substrate will be isotopically pure, but that is quite another story).
