interesting thoughts.

see l3.com, which suggests that L3 intends to replicate the RCNC formula across the U.S. and tie it together with a QWST-style backbone. this might be accomplished in part by acquiring regional fiber networks like RCNC, GST, and ELIX. at the strictly local level, i prefer the fixed wireless strategy being implemented by WCII, ARTT, and TGNT. (interestingly, the CEO of ARTT recently mentioned both QWST and L3 as "birds-of-a-feather" companies with which ARTT might want to partner.)

Great post Ken! I think you're on the right track. A think a lot could happen between Qwest and L3 once L3 has started to acquire some real assets with their stock.
