Shege, I'm flattered that I made such an impact that you find it necessary to mention me in your posts lately.<g> The bottom line is you have determined that this merger will fail. I on the other hand am willing to give it a chance to succeed. That's all. No more..no less. With respect to bias, I am quite surprised that you are not aware that there is a tremendous amount of bias on this and the VNTV thread. Somehow I think you know this. There are a number of people here(I won't mention any names) who, long before this merger was announced, predetermined that they didn't like sebl for whatever reason. Much of this appeared to be a dislike of Tom Siebel individually having nothing to do with the company or its success in this market. All this merger has done is provide them with fuel for their bias. At least Kevin Rose admits he offers a somewhat biased opinion since he works for clfy. That at least is understandable. If talking about Siebel's ego, clean offices, everyone having crewcuts, etc. isn't bias I'm not sure what is. What does that have to do with the success of a company? If the employees don't mind, why should I. And I seriously doubt that having a crewcut is a requirement to getting a job at sebl. With respect to my comments on sales & marketing being the key to success..... I have always stated that was my background. I've seen it work and know it can. Whereas someone who is technical will always try to make product/technology issues the key. I guess we come at it from different perspectives. That's fine with me because I glean a great deal of knowledge from many posts on SI which cover things which I do not consider my area of expertise. I'm not saying this merger will be either a)easy or b) work out perfectly in the beginning. But I don't believe it is destined for failure as some here would like others to believe. If you considier that bias so be it. Personally I consider it another viewpoint based on my perspective, my own personal experience and my knowledge of the situation, limited as it may be.. If I am wrong I will be the first to admit it. If it succeeds I don't think the reverse will be true. I think that it would be in everyone's best interest to approach this with an open mind. So far most of what has been said here is speculation. So maybe it would be best if we just sit back and see what happens and simply agree to disagree. Melissa
