Mark, I'll give you my layman's understanding of the competitive threat. As I'm sure you understand, Excimer lasers (VISX) remove cells. It is inheriently difficult to cause the eye to become longer by removing cells. The trials using the Excimer for hyperopia attempt to do this by creating a "trough" around the cornea. This then results in a "healing response" which involves scar tissue (not good). When you add in the high cost of using the Excimer and the high skill level required and compare it to ease of the LTK procedure (to both Dr. and patient), my understanding is that the Excimer laser is not a threat in the hyperopia area.

Again, this is simply my layman's understanding.

Best regards.
Greg

A post from our good friend CakeBiz on the AOL board"

Subject: Great looking Chart

I don't know how many of you do or don't check out the charts on SNRS, but here is a link to check them out. Volume is on the bottom and the blue line represents the 50 DMA (50 Day Moving Average). You can see on both the monthly chart, as well as the yearly, the strong uptrend with increasing volume. volume is VERY important in keeping the trend going up. SNRS Graph: Daily for 1 month
SNRS Graph: Weekly for 1 year
Let me know if this is too boring or of no interest, okay?
Regards,
Cake

Hi Cake - I read all the posts on SI as well and am not a subscriber..

My latest info from S.Lorigan was that SNRS had to be at $4.00 for 30 consecutive days not 20 and that does not include weekends. Also it must close minimum $4.00 BID. So we'll just wait. Then for some other type of NASDAQ something or other $5.00 will do something even stronger for the listing...

Great week - PBS should start to air this summer but we should ask Susan. IMO I think there will be a little drop back, not much, then we'll get new exposure (some) from the conference on the 19th....then our BIG move up will be after NASDAQ and IMO NASDAQ listing may not just happen right after the $4.00 for 30 days. It may take some time to get processed...If my memory serves me at all I think Susan was unsure of time frame following meeting the
NASDAQ qualifications to get listed.

The nice steady upswing I feel is probably due to new eyes on the company and feeling strong about what they are learning and what we already know so there are new buyers. Also, logically, if I ever am, if filming is completed for PBS there was another whole new set of eyes watching this fabulous stuff happening and if it is for airing, which it is, then can you imagine just how much all present at the filming learned and how well it was
presented for the camera? You know they had to do real live proceedures again...and maybe since The CEO, R. Trenary was around for it then I think so were other biggies probably. I think we'll see a little settling in again and in about a month or two we'll know where NASDAQ is and when we'll arrive in that whole new marketplace.> BROKERS RECOMMENDATIONS> Go SNRS but fall back so I can buy more! Just kidding.
A good SNRSssssssssssss to all
