OT: AOL and BUD

All of my DOW technicals turned negative earlier today. Along with my AOL short, I freed up some more money to short Anheiser-Busch (BUD). I think that company is screwed no matter what, with a PE of about 20.

A Teamster Strike is imminent in a few weeks. If the strike passes the vote, then BUD is screwed. What Red White and Blue Joe Sixpack would buy SCAB beer? If the strike is averted, BUD is still screwed. The Union is getting paid outrageously right now, and this whole drama is about BUD trying to break the Union. The stock should suffer no matter what the outcome of this battle.

Beer sales have been flat for awhile, and market share continues to spread out to microbreweries. Flat national beer sales, rising Union wages, and a high PE of 20 with a stock price of about $46 makes for a tempting short. I couldn't resist.
