Shalom,

To put it bluntly. Putting a scripture out is fine but when you only bold part it's the same as saying:

This is what I want it to say to you.
This is the point that you should be getting.
Let me tell you what the scripture is emphasizing.

Like I said before, if you put a scripture out that's O.K. but don't belittle people by putting your own thrusting emphasis on it when your trying to argue a point with them. Let them read it for themselves and if God sees fit to clarify something then so be it. After all it's his word.

My purpose is not to offend you, just to challenge some things. When we are challenged and know the other party is not purposely doing it to destroy us we can be greatly benefited. I hope this is mutual. -Chris

Shalom,
Just some thoughts here;

<<You know that we will be judged for every idle word we speak>>

How will we be judged for that when we are forgiven of all our sins. When we are judged we will only be judged as forgiven and rewarded for any good works we do. Unless you believe we can fall from grace, which I don't. So we have nothing to fear from our judgement by the Lord.

<<and of course it is always good to love thy neighbor as thy self>>

If you happen to hate yourself and then treat your neighbor badly have you in fact "loved your neighbor as yourself"?

<< And what better way to serve God then to serve and love one another.>>

True, yet I've seen very little of christians helping christians in my life. So many christians I've known have believed it is far better to receive than to give. Sad but true. One reason I don't go to church anymore. But I have many reasons.

cya,

Bob
