Kel the companies that I am aware of are IXC (IIXC) Qwest (QWST) Kiewit-Level 3 (KIWT) and Williams (WMB). RCN corp is a spinoff of cable michigan or c-tec. There are other companies who are trying to take advantage of the telecommunications bill passed in 96 or 97. But these companies are the brightest stars IMHO. (QWST,KIWT,RCNC)

Six Degrees of Separation - Qwest, RCN Corp, and Kiewit are interesting to me because they all have origins to MFS communications. In one way or another they have been built with people who originally started MFS communications. Which was owned by Kiewit before they sold it to Worldcomm for 16 Billion. Original investment was 500 Million.
