Well it looks as if the long term investors on this thread have some vocal newbie support. It seems though that the words I'm hearing from them are the same words I heard from the old guard as CPQ slowly sank.
I find it very rash for anyone to proclaim the bottom is near. It looks like we're doing some good work in attempting to put one in but if the general market tanks we're going with it. Personally I don't think CPQ will penetrate 22 and if it does there is no technical support left in the market. It also appears that a number of thread regulars are now putting forth the theory that CPQ put all their rotten eggs in one basket and destroyed the qtr so they would look good later in the year. I think I know what little bird is spreading that ray of sunshine but i don't buy it. If it is true then I think they would of made some mention of it when they announced no earning to soften the blow. If they did this by design and did not reveal this to their shareholders then the entire head management deserves to be kicked out on their butts. They knew the effect that this would have on the stock and to do so in the manner hinted at would be manipulation of the worst kind. It should be interesting to see what response this draws.
