To anyone; there hasn't been much talk about DIIG, either on this thread or over on the DIIG thread. Does anyone have any ideas about how they are doing? I know they are having a few problems with their Orbit subsidiary, but other than that I haven't heard to much. The stock price and the way it's been acting seems to suggest that investors are worried about something. Are they afraid they won't meet quarterly expectations, are they going to lose some customers, or is it just plain overall jitters. I wish I could get a handle on it. I would like to know if its dead money near term, long term or both.

jefrey, I assume that everyone is betting on some Asia impact on ECM's too. So far it does not appear to be a big issue. Remember- while Asia accounts for 50% of the world's population, it only accounts for 25% of the world's economic activity.

Now in Asia itself some countries are doing OK, such as Taiwan, Thailand is recovering, etc. Now throw in increased economic growth in Europe, both east and west, and Latin America. So even if economic activity in Asia is cut by 33% short-term that's still only 8% of the total world GDP.

So my guess is that events Asia will slow the world economy down but not "tank" it. And since DIIG sells its services synergistically very well, I've bought some DIIG shares and will hold them in as a core position....

Sincerely,

Doug F.
