Zoltan!, thanks for the link. When the writer terms the alleged Willey incident "unmanly and inhuman", there's a bit of irony there (i.e. some extremists might argue that trying to take advantage of a woman in such a time of vulnerability is, to the contrary, "manly and human", which is more than a little unfair to us guys), but IMHO it's a good piece.

I guess some people in this world just don't care much about, for lack of a better word, "honor", or maybe "doing the right thing". IMHO, Bill Clinton places doing what is political expedient above doing what is honorable. The sad part is that that trade-off is exactly what makes him arguably one of the best pure politicians of the post-war era.

He's not the only one. In politics nowadays, it isn't "doing the right thing", it's "do the thing that gets my poll numbers doing the right thing."

Good trading,

Tom

Random drive by thought...remember when the scandal of the day might be whether or not one of our politicians spelled potato correctly.

That was a provocative column, Duncan. I have read several along the same philosophical lines this last week. Maybe after 60 Minutes tonight some women will be affected enough to reexamine the seeming dichotomy with feminism. It also confirms what I said about the time line of Mr. Willey's suicide--he was killing himself while Kathleen went to see the president, but of course no one had any knowledge of it yet.

Zoltan, biting article, right on the money. The hypocrisy of the NOW organization has been shown in all it's glory during the past few months.

All they really care about is the advancement of their liberal ideology vs care a hoot about womans rights.
