Sure. I do not deny that the Japanese have had a market crash already, but that crash occured 7 or 8 years ago. The market has been more or less stable (if volitile) since then. Does the first crash preclude another one? My contention is that if they have a depression it will come with another market crash (either as cause or effect).

PS I am not sure that I buy the logic that they had a crash because our market went up. If the Korean market doubles this year, but we stay flat year over year, does that mean we had a crash. I don't think so. Absolutely none of the psychology is the same.
