Actually Anyer a number of people have been federally prosecuted for perjury in the past few years. That's why there's still hope for the legal process winning out if Clinton's found to have committed perjury.

I do agree that lawyers are skilled in the art of lying but calling it something else. Their only goal is to win their case and it's just about anything goes these days towards that goal.

I also agree about the government and the control of our money. I don't think under our present government we'll ever see control of the money, through flat tax or VAT programs or social security reforms, given back to the ones who earn it. Is it any wonder the government closed the loophole soon after it was discovered that allowed privately controlled and financed social security programs. But not soon enough to keep three Texas counties from severing their ties from the federal gov't social security program and setting up their own form of social security. They still take out the same amount for soc. sec. taxes but it is invested in interest bearing securities. A person in these counties who has a lifetime average of $35K/yr. income will retire with over $40K/yr. (it may be $50K, I'm not sure) from their privately managed program.

I too am disgusted with our government and would consider moving out. But where? Where it's warm and not poverty stricken anyway. I just don't think there are too many places better than the U.S. even with all its warts. If you know of any place please let me know.
