Stephen, re: Barry Witz, he also came to the aborted (but 2 hours long) December meeting. Before he showed up, I asked Par if Barry might come, as I was curious about him after the Bearon's report (Barbara, didn't you start the "Bearons" routine? - how times change!).

I also asked Par if they still kept in touch and if he believed the stuff reported about Barry. Par's answer was a curious "who am I to judge him?" Too easy to read bad things into this, after all, shouldn't a CEO use some judgement before putting someone on the Board? But I think all he meant was that he wasn't in a position to do the FBI work of investigating Barry.

The fact that Barry "left" Osicom's Board is open to anyone's guessing as to the reason. Bottom line - he's not there any more. Is he a shady character? Maybe. Maybe he's just the subject of revenge from people (stock manipulators?) who were injured by him when he worked for the SEC as an attorney.

Barry did show up at that meeting. However, a few minutes into the meeting, and after Par announced that the meeting would be adjourned due to mailing/response problems with the ballots, I looked over and Barry was gone. My guess is that Barry does not have enough contact with Par any more to have known that the meeting would be cancelled.

Whether Barry is the shady character portrayed or the victim of shorters, stock manipulators, or vengeance seekers, I felt some relief that he didn't seem to be "in the know". If that's the case, it doesn't matter any more, and shorts can bring him up all they want too - it's just irrelevant.
