Khris, the purchase by PC manufactures is in direct response to demand. Creating additional demand should be the major focus of Intel's advertising campaign.

The Intel Inside campaign and the deal they have worked out with OEM's are great. I disagree though, Intel should not just leave it up to the Dell's of the world to sell you a computer.

My point is, how does Intel create the desired demand from the 60% of the population which has still not chosen to purchase a computer at all? Ali's points are valid, but advertisement can have an effect.

How about some adds showing 3 and 4 year olds learning to read? How about an add showing a boss making a quick comment as a young worker leaves for home like "just type up these lines over the weekend so we can be ready for Monday's brief". And the worker looks at the boss and say's. "sir, I don't have a home PC". How about they really sell the idea of voice recognition, video phones via the net, children learning C++, making web pages, etc.

The idea's are literally endless. Spending millions of dollars for a bunch of bunnie suited people to hop around is silly. Is Intel trying to sell dolls or computer chips??
