upgrade announced this am on cnbc. ?Goldman. rates wcom as only large cap growth stock out there with a target of 60. feels mci merger issues are behind them with recent approval by stockholders.

NEW YORK -- Deregulation in mature markets, low
penetration in emerging markets and an explosion in data
traffic are three major trends influencing the
telecommunications industry, said Brian Hayward,
portfolio manager for the Invesco Worldwide
Communications Fund, during an appearance on CNBC
Wednesday.

The fund, which has increased 57% in value over the last
12 months, had $186 million in total assets invested in
69 stocks. Its top five holdings are Global Telesystems
Group Inc. (GTSG), WorldCom Inc. (WCOM), Nextel
Communications Inc. (NXTL), Colt Telecom Group
PLC (COLTY) and MCI Communications Corp.
(MCIC).
