Actually you are both incorrect. The last thing that she wanted was "comforting". She was at the President's for one reason only--to get a job. At which it is abundantly clear that the President's far reaching Arkansas roots pushed their way through the surface and he acted like he was the top canine at Dog Patch. It's actually all pretty simple.
