My favorite spot was where Bradley asked Bennett for the President's side of the story. He began by saying something to the effect that he couldn't remember the exact mechanics of the situation but bla bla bla. I wish I had a transcript to read his exact words. When I heard this I laughed out loud. He wouldn't be a highly paid DC lawyer if he had a memory problem.

I agree. It struck me that Bennett couldn't look Bradley in the eye, the camera or almost anything except his shoes and the floor. He had the classic bodylanguage of an evasive liar.

>>I'll bet everyone noticed Bob Bennent's demeanor in that 60 Minutes
>>interview. He spent the majority of time looking at his shoes and
>>avoiding looking into the camera.

My observation exactly. Also he touched his nose when making a defensive statement. That's well known unconscious body language that occurs when someone transitions into a lie. I find it strange that a highly skilled lawyer could make such body language disclosures. He's supposed to be a master, it's hard for me to believe he did this by accident. What's his message and to whom? What's he up to? He's a slippery trickster, I know that much.

Clearly, Bennett was very very uncomfortable mouthing the words his client wanted him to say. I'll bet Bennett was thinking why was he shredding his own reputation on national tv while Clinton and wife hid at Camp David.

I very much doubt taht. Bennett, like most of the players in this little drama, stands to make quite a bit of money...

Trial lawyers are not a thin-skinned bunch.

I should think further that Bennett is quite glad to have had this opportunity to hear what Willey has to say. Makes it so much easier to prepare a defense, should one become necessary.
