The more practice you have, the more gracefully you'll proceed, generally speaking. But I confess I don't imagine Bill to be especially smooth.

As I remarked some weeks ago: there's a great deal to be said for the genuinely accomplished sleazy charmer.

Nor are they in the position of power Slick Willy is in. Furthermore, most men probably have more regard and higher moral standards than this guy. It really is disgusting.

There is a great quote in "The Road to Serfdom" which states "Since it is the supreme leader who alone determines the ends, his instruments must have no moral convictions of their own."

The only question here is, what does Slick Willy see as the "instruments" available to him.
