hello to all other active members of this interesting thread.

I have a basic question concerning the future of xDSL. It seems to me important, that all forecasts about internet traffic, subscriber rates etc. are based on the assumption that the internet medium will remain a low cost medium. Who is running the Internet and why should not be there a motivation to charge higher access prices.
Regarding the possible merger of Worldcom and MCI suddenly the mainpart of the internet traffic would go through their hands.

What do you think of the impact of a tarification structure change on the xDSL market?
