Demeanor is as important as words in judging truthfulness. I'm not at all sure of this. Do you get nervous when you're interviewed by airline security? Where did you pack your bags? Was anyone present when you packed them? Have they been out of your sight at any time since then? And you start to think, well, yes, I guess when they were in the trunk of the cab... Obviously you'd be a fool to say that, but I've seen people do quite similar things. And then they're asked more questions, and more, and more, and really do NOT make a very good impression.
