All versions of Netscape client software are free now. Netscape is still selling 'Communicator Deluxe' $44.95 on their web site. That sounds like a good idea, but I think it could drive the choice to IE. Perhaps. But there is still a lot of Anything-but-Microsoft attitude on the Net. And perhaps Microsoft would choose to follow suit. Writing and maintaining browsers costs money. It's not unreasonable to expect a return on that investment eventually. IMO we're just entering the second inning of this ballgame. Yahoo may have a 1-run lead, but they've 'taken' nothing at this point.
