I have lots of patience, Buffy, as evidenced by my continual and increasing ownership of a similar company, DSWLF, since their IPO. I made a lot of money on NTAIF, having bought in below $10 and sold most of it above $20, but I am glad I sold and happy to sit on the sidelines for a while. Unlike NTAIF, DSWLF doesn't say much, but just keeps putting up great numbers quarter after quarter, without fail.

What you say may or may not happen. That is the problem, they have lost a lot of credibility with investors, which they will have to earn back.

Dennis

BUFFY Z, <they had a good quarter and a great year, that is the bottom line. u guys r just mad about the stock price>

I hope you realize the obvious contradiction and Wall Street isn't a dumb as some companies would hope.
Earning/Share for '98 are less than '97, that's a problem with management getting the cart ahead of the horse or diluting the stock before they knew what they were going to do with the money.

That said, chance favors the prepared and Nam Tai is sitting in a good position.

>>lots of upside potential. this stock
takes patience to own, so if u don't got any, go trash another stock, cuz this company
doesn't deserve it.

Those that bought at $27 would tend to disagree w/you. NTAIF was
my largest holding for awhile. I LOVE their cash position, but
I haven't heard really cogent arguments against the criticisms
of David and Dennis. NTAIF DOES deserve the criticism for management's
performance during the past year. That said, I hope they get
their CFO and get their ship heading in the right direction. If
they do, I'll jump on in a big way.

BUFFY, I myself am another first timer! As for the CFO question, was the "big six" guy mentioned in the conference call??? A CFO is important or similar finance guy is important, but this thread has gotten carried away with a fixation on the subject. It appears Mr Koo is a little "green" at the corporate game here, but he knows his business better than any North American CFO could hope to learn in a couple of years. Koo could use some help in terms of IR, someone to speak for and with him, and do the tour. It appears Koo runs the show and if there wasn't enough room for the last 2 CFO's, a big six bozo won't cut it either. Let get this ball rollin and see what kinda potential Mr Koo has to make this a great growth story!
