While we may not see 20 this week, I think MEMC could do better in the latter part of the year, perhaps climbing back up to its IPO price of $24. What the market needs is clear visibility toward future profits, something that may get clearer later in the year. I wouldn't be committing money to MEMC now if I thought it would stay between 15 and 17 all year. I like the fact that more and more semi-equips are warning of lower profits and the book-to-bill for the equips has been going down, reaching a low of .92 in Feb. Too much capacity is the problem and this is the way to fix it.

You're right, WFR will not recover in '98. Biggest customer in trouble:
