Post says stock keeps zooming up Ballard Power Systems Inc BLD Shares issued 23,083,665 Mar 16 close $165.00 Tue 17 Mar 98 In the News The Financial Post reports in its Tuesday edition that shares of Ballard Power Systems rose $11 to $165 on the Toronto Stock Exchange on Monday, on volume of 180,900 shares. Market Action columnist Ian Karleff notes that shares of the alternative fuel cell developer soared another seven per-cent. They have jumped 20 per-cent since March 9. Taurus Capital Markets analyst David Dvorchik says that people think this technology is going commercial and they see big names attached to it like Ford Motor and Daimler Benz. Mr Dvorchik says, however, that it is a little tough, if not impossible, to put a target on the stock because there is nothing to hang your hat on in terms of numbers.
