Dear Chris, Bob and Emile,
You are all correct in what you believe. My mother is Gentile so if you think I have ever put down Gentiles you are judging me and very incorrect. You all know I have accepted Jesus as my Saviour by faith and the rest is between me and Him. May the Lord bless you all. Have a nice day Chris.

Chris,

It is blasphemous to use the word Israelite to refer to the modern antichirst Israelis. An Israelite is a member of the ancient Hebrew tribes. An Israeli is a modern citizen of the antichrist nation of Israel. There is absolutely no reltionship between the two except that the modern antichrist Zionist are pretending to be descended from the holy people of God in the Old Testament--the ancient Israelites.

The only true Israelites in the world today are those who are in Christ Jesus.

Rom. 2
28: For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the
flesh:

29: But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not
in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.

Phil.3
3: For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.

Gal.3
29: And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Christians are the true heirs of Abraham and the children of all the promises. Christians are the true Israel of God for the last 2000 years. This can be verified by simply looking at history and seeing who has been worshipping and spreading Gods truths throughout the world for the last 2000 years. Have you ever heard of Judaism doing any missionary work for God? Is it those who call themselves Jews and are not, or is it the Christian people--the true Israel of God who have been doing Gods' work for the last 2000 years. Among the Christians people their have always been Jewish converts in the last 2000 years but modern talmudic Judaism has never done the work of God in the last 2000 years ?

Regards

Emile

Chris,
The celebration commanded in Lev 23 that you mention is in fact celebrated in exactly that manner. It is Succoth (sp?). I have several close friends who are very conservative Jews and they celebrate this in exactly this manner. I've been invited to certain aspects and it is a wonderful celebration and exactly as commanded.

Just browsing through out of interest. Not looking to get involved just like to clarify.

you quote"
And ye shall take you on the first day the boughs of goodly trees,
branches of palm trees, and the boughs of thick trees, and willows of
the brook; and ye shall rejoice before the Lord your God seven days. And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year: it shall be a statute for ever in your generations; ye shall celebrate it in the seventh month. Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths: Lev 23"

Note: The seventh month is Tishrei the first day means the first day of the holiday.

What you havejust described is the Holiday of Succos or Tabernacles.
The huts that are built and lived in represent G-ds protection of the
Slaves in the desert after they were redeemed from thier bondage on Egypt.

It is celebrated throughout the world on the from the eve of the 15th of Tishrei which generally falls out in late October. This day is also 4 days after Yom Kippur (10th of Tishrei).

The the thick branch is the Lulav (palm) . The branches are called Hadassim and the branches of the brook are called ARAVOT. The Lulav is shaped as the spine , The haddasim leaves are the shape of the eyes the leaves of the ARAVOT are in the shape of the mouth. There is also a fruit mentioned in the verse (P'ri Eitz hadar) this is teh ETROG (citron) which has the shape of a heart (human not Valentines).
When the blessing is made they are all held tight
and waved in all directions N-E-W-S- Up-Down- Front-BAck.
It is a beautiful and uplifting experience.

Succos is an expensive time consuming holiday, Building a hut to hold a family that is strong enough to stand 8 days in the late autumn is not an easy task. The Holiday generally uses up 4 vacation days and the feasts (meals) run into quite a bit of money. ANd eating your meals and or sleeping in these huts can be quite uncomfortable whne the mercury falls.

It is a wonderful time of year and as soon as the Holiday completes we look forward to next year's celebration.

Hope this helps

Zvi
